MISSIONARY MAMA BEATRICE
Missionary Mama Beatrice
My husband's name is SAMSON CHARLES ANANDA. Charles known as OMUNGU in our village language.
Beatrice and Samson started the ministry their work in 1980.
She came to Christ in 1976 when she was still living with her parents. When she married Samson, he was not born again or attending church. Beatrice was persistent when it came to talking to him about God and the importance of their family being built on God's foundation.
In 1979, Samson accepted Christ and started going to church. Then, in 1980, Samson had a dream about having church services in the village. Beatrice had the same dream, and they agreed to ask their parents' permission to start having fellowship at their homestead. Beatrice and late Samson started having a family church services under a tree every Sunday. This became their habit every Sunday
Villagers started hearing healthy Sunday worship coming from the homestead and soon began joining in along with their children. Beatrice and Samson took a full mandate of taking care of and mentoring the spiritual lives of the people who came and fellowshipped with them on Sundays at their home under a tree.
In1984, Beatrice and Samson had a move in their hearts, and a voice from the Lord, that they should start moving around the village praying with people and calling them to Jesus. At that time, they had not yet been blessed with a child. When this seed was planted in their hearts, they didn't hesitate. They would wake up every Friday and Saturday to walk around the village ministering.
One day, Beatrice was walking and encouraging people and praying. She and Samson came across a child who was abandoned by their parents. The child was 5 years in age. His name is Abednego. It was a very hard decision for them to make because they had never raised a child. Then a voice came to Samson and asked him to take the boy with him to their homestead. He then asked Beatrice, "should we take the child with us? We will let our parents know that we have to find a way to raise up the child. She accepted and when they took Abednego to their home. Their parents welcomed the child as well. This was just a start to their life of raising kids. After having one adopted child they got their firstborn son in 1986.
God continued to speak to them to provide for other kids with different needs. By 1990, Beatrice and Samson had 4 adopted 2 biological sons. Between 1990 and1995, God gave them another 3 needy children. Homeless by that time, Samson started working as a welder and Beatrice as a trader in the market. They worked hard to raise money to care for the 9 children. Times were difficult, but they kept their faith in God. The children grew up and the number continued to grow.
By the time Simon was born, Sanson and Beatrice found themselves to bearents of 29children, 22 of them were older kids. Samson and Beatrice received help from his parents to raise and educate the kids along with friends and all well-wishers .
Samson went home to be with the Lord in 2020. The church has been in existence at Promise Home for the past 40+years being Pastored by late Samson and Mama Beatrice. Mama Beatrice and Samson to date have managed to raise over 65 children including the current children.
